It’s great to have new things to do on cold and rainy days.
James loves his new laptop… What guy doesn’t?
Getting creative with new sidewalk chalk.
Wheels, wheels and more wheels. {And a random chipmunk.}
One of our favorite songs is “When you’re happy and you know it clap your hands!”
During “If you’re happy and you know it and your face will surely show it...” he tries to do the finger to the cheek move, but he just rubs his knuckles on his face. It’s so stinkin’ cute! {I understand this may be a have to be there moment, but it’s one of those things that I never want to forget. In fact, I need to video tape it asap.
All these activities and toys though, and his favorite thing to play with Christmas night was our dust buster.
We put the box fan back into James’ room to drown out noise of the hectic holidays and company. I unplug it each morning and put the safety plug in the socket, because this fan is one of his favorite “toys.” Every morning and every time he goes upstairs, he says “fant?” {James now adds a “t” sound to every word ending with an N. He says the word correctly then adds the T. Sounding kind of like “Green-ta,” “down-ta,” “all done-ta,” and “man-ta.”} Anyways, he loves his fanta. And carries it around like it’s a pet.
We’ve enjoyed the recent company we’ve had and the many trips we’ve made. Parenting Lesson Noted: Don’t take road trips without a DVD Player. Best purchase we’ve ever made.
Watching Bob the Builder on the way to Florida.
Giving his puppy a kiss.
After 5 1/2 hours in the car. Antsy and whiney as ever, but being a trooper.
Elf was waiting in the car the morning of our last trip to Charleston when we woke up! I love this picture… James was so excited to find Elf that we ended up barefoot outside. James looks like the youngest, Michael, from Peter Pan who always carries his teddy bear. I wish I could freeze this age.
We also REALLY enjoyed when Mommy’s friend, Alexandra, and her dog, Indy, came to visit. A month and a half later, and we still hear about “A-ech” and “eh-eh” nearly every day.
I took a Mommy-only trip to Florida to host a shower/bachelorette party for my lovely bride BFF, Stephanie. I couldn’t be more excited to pick James up from school Monday morning. He was more excited than this…
No worries… I know my baby loves his Mommy.
And this is getting long… keep your eyes peeled for Part 3!
