There is one day a year we are late to church, and that is Easter.
Since James was born, Justin and I watch the Easter service from the church lobby {along with all the other late parents that can’t fit in the sanctuary.}
I’m okay with that. I know that we try our hardest to get there on time each year, but we also love our Easter morning traditions.
Since we were running so late, I had about 30 seconds to get a picture of my boys. This means, bad lighting and weird shade from the trees… but these two boys were easy enough on the eyes.
After a wonderful church service, we went to Sasa and GG’s for our traditional Easter Dinner.
We had a GREAT dinner then, played and visited on the back porch.
We missed cousins Harper and Olivia this year, and their parents too. :) Although, we still managed to have a great time!
With life being crazy around the Helfer household, James has spent extra time with Sasa and GG lately. He’s a high-energy boy, but is very shy and slow to warm-up. All these extra hours Sasa has put in have paid off! James made himself right at home on Easter.
He asks to see Sasa every day now. He says something like “Guess what? See Sasa and GG? Ok. Ok, we go see Sasa and GG, and get in Sasa’s car. Ok.” He can be quite convincing. And quite lovable.
It’s hard to put the camera down with all the love around.
Moments like this need to be captured.
We went home for naptime. Then we continued to have a wonderful Easter. The weather was perfect for playing outside, and our neighbor had us over for another Easter Egg Hunt. We just played the day away. Here are the pictures from my phone:
James sat on his Cars big boy potty for the first time that night.
And wore his new big boy jammies, size 4T.
We had such a great Easter. This baby boy makes holidays better than I could ever imagine. I’m so thankful for the Lord’s blessings, my life, and my family. My Cup Runneth Over.
We are all so blessed! Love you so much.
