James must be a very good boy, because the Easter Bunny went slightly overboard! I think The Bunny had been stocking up for a few months. I also think he’s a sucker for any and all books, clearance sales, and the Target dollar section.
The Easter Bunny must be in contact with our pediatrician as well. Mommy doesn’t think James is ready for potty training, but our pediatrician said to go ahead and introduce him to it.
There’s always a favorite item. This Easter it was the set of Cars 2 cars, just as Justin predicted. {That was an odd sentence.}
In fact, the basket itself remained it tact much longer than I anticipated.
I loved watching Justin and James play. Pretend painting on a Snoopy “Spoopy” notepad.
I don't know who liked the harmonica more… James or Daddy.
We made a pancake breakfast in shapes of crosses, The Easter Bunny and Mickey Mouse.
He is one appreciative boy.
James wanted to read Cars 2. He still thinks that DVD cases are books. (disregard my mismatching pajamas and unbrushed hair and teeth.)
We put in his new DVD, and James sat on the potty for the first time! Fully clothed and with no pressure to actually go potty. And apparently with no privacy… Lynyrd.
He played, watched Cars and then discovered the candy in his Easter Basket.
His day went from amazing to unbelievable.
It was only 9 am. Church was approaching, and we still had an Easter Egg Hunt awaiting in the backyard! So we read a note from The Easter Bunny.
I would like to say that James found his little eggs then, put them in his basket like most kids do…
But instead, James would find an egg and either open it immediately, or he’d take off running with it and open it at a distance.
He did let Daddy hold his candy though.
He pretty much thinks life is one giant egg hunt right now. That eggs should be everywhere. And all eggs filled with candy.
While we got ready for church, we talked about what Easter was really about and sang Jesus loves me. We packed up for Easter Dinner with Sasa and GG. I took quite a few pictures so, we’ll make that Easter Part 2. Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny was good to you!
These pictures are so fun, but I especially love that last one! Just precious!!! And where did the Easter Bunny find those sunglasses? Jack must have a pair! Happy Easter week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Michelle! They are from the baby section of Target. :)
