Nanny’s and G-G’s

We went over to Nanny Sasa’s and G-G’s house yesterday so, James could meet his third cousin Dale (Ms. Dale, Aunt Dale, Cousin Dale, Great Cousin Dale, Grandma Dale: whichever he may choose to call her!). I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t get one picture of the two of them… but I did take some others.

James showed off his ‘J is for James shorts’…

as well as his new bald spot from always sleeping on his left side.

He enjoyed some quality time with G-G.

He sat in a high chair for the very first time!

And like most other ‘first tries’ for James, he only lasted about two minutes before he decided he wasn’t a big fan.

But the highlight of his day was getting to know Cousin Harper. I wish I had my camera the first time Harper met James. He furrowed his brow as he wondered who his Nanny was holding, and why it wasn’t him. It was so cute. Over the last couple months, they have warmed up to each other more and more. There is such a big difference in age and size right now, but being only 15 months apart will be nothing as they grow older together.

Harper

Then, James took a little nap, which gave Harper some time to spend with Uncle Justin. Harper is new to talking so, he’s been saying “Justin,” as ‘Uncle Justin’ is a mouthful. Justin, being very excited to be an Uncle, requested to be called ‘Unc’ yesterday. Why anybody would choose to be called ‘Unc’ is beyond me. And it become the joke of the day. Since ‘Chollet’ is a mouthful for most adults, Harper is working on calling me “Cho-Cho.” So, back to Harper and Unc.

Harper begged (and I mean, begged) Unc to dance with him…

The problem is, Unc doesn’t dance unless he’s had at least 12 of those beverages in his hand. But who could say no to this face?

So they agreed to march. (I love how Harper is looking up to Unc in this picture. Both figuratively and literally.)

And they ended the day with a high five!
